Dual Mass To Single Mass Flywheel Conversion
The dual mass flywheel (DMF) is a component in a vehicle's drivetrain that serves to dampen vibrations and reduce noise. But the high failure rate and expensive replacement costs of dual-mass flywheels have caused great hardship for customers.
TaziParts began developing and producing single mass flywheels to replace dual mass flywheels three years ago. In the past years, we have successfully designed many single mass flywheels to replace dual mass flywheels, with a price that is less than 40% of the original flywheel.
Most of our single-mass flywheels are made of high-strength steel, with the gear ring directly machined onto the flywheel to ensure its strength and durability.

The Reason You Need a Single Mass Flywheel
Durability
One of the main advantages of an SMF is its durability. Unlike a DMF, which is made up of multiple components and requires regular maintenance, an SMF is a simple, solid disc that can last for many years without needing to be replaced. This can save vehicle owners money in the long run, as they do not have to worry about replacing the DMF periodically.
Cost-Effective
Another advantage of an SMF is its cost-effectiveness. Since it is a simple design and does not require the use of expensive materials, an SMF is generally less expensive to manufacture than a DMF. This can translate to lower costs for vehicle owners who need to replace their flywheels.
Better Performance
An SMF can also provide better performance than a DMF, especially in situations where the engine is under heavy load. The solid design of the SMF allows for better torque transfer from the engine to the transmission, which can result in improved acceleration and overall performance.
Simpler Design
An SMF is also simpler in design than a DMF, which can make it easier to maintain and repair. Since it is a single, solid component, there are fewer parts that can wear out or fail, which can lead to reduced maintenance costs and improved reliability.
Clutch Compatibility
An SMF can also be more compatible with aftermarket clutches than a DMF. This is because a DMF is designed to work with a specific type of clutch, whereas an SMF can be adapted to work with a wide range of clutches. This can give vehicle owners more options when it comes to replacing their clutch, which can lead to cost savings and improved performance.
